This software is a map synchronizer beetwen a game server and its maps' mirror, developed with Warsow in mind, but usable with all the games that use pk3 map files.

It will be available for GNU/Linux, OSX, Windows and released under the GPL3 license.

There are no working versions for the moment.

  • Map synchronization between a local server (where SYmap is installed) and a remote ftp server;
  • The program show for every map the following information (extracted from the pk3 archive if not specified):
    • Name of the pk3 map archive;
    • Name of the map (or maps) inside the pk3 archive;
    • bots support (yes/no);
    • number of spawn points;
    • pk3 archive's size;
    • description (manually inserted);
    • Number of demos;
    • Names of the demos (if present).
  • Profile management (useful for saving the connection data for connecting to the mirrors).

  • Map synchronization between two ftp servers;
  • Possibility to view screenshots in the map archive;
  • Possibility to view user's defined screenshots.
• Other (maybe) useful things for the future:
  • support for other protocols (ssh, samba, nfs, etc.);
  • command line interface;
  • web interface.
